Sometimes, you make a new friend in the most unexpected of places. This photography captures one of those times. Taken in June 2014, Alex snapped it after hearing a strange noise in the marsh at the front of their home. There among the reeds and cattails was a single yellow eye looking up at him. Upon closer inspection, several dozen other hoppy-go-lucky friends appeared. The rest of the summer, they provided a beautiful chorus each and every evening, a perfect complement to the clear Maine skies overhead.
