First and foremost, I’d like to welcome newcomers to my blog here on AlexSeise.com. I’m so happy you’ve come by for a visit, and I’m always glad to entertain new and returning visitors in my little corner of the virtual world. Take a look around, check out some of my recent Word of the Day posts and feel free to catch up on my website bio and portfolio, if you have a few minutes to spare.
Today, I’d like to share some very exciting Friday afternoon news with all of my readers. The past few months, I’ve been spending my down time (including nights, weekends and smaller spaces in between) working on a challenging but fun new project: writing a novel. In two months, I’ve been able to pound out 350 good, solid pages, totaling just about 105,000 words. The draft is about 50% complete, and I’m very pleased with the plot, characters and concepts it contains.
Though I won’t spoil much more than the working title and some representative artwork, I will say this much: the writing process has been an excellent adventure, and one that I look forward to repeating again. The very select few who have read the summaries and chapters to date have expressed excitement with the direction and developments within the tome’s pages, and I think it will be a very enjoyable read for anyone who favors science fiction, generational drama and dichotomies of the self.
I’ll post periodic updates here and on social media, so be sure to follow me for the latest teasers and developments. I hope I can count you as a loyal reader when the draft wraps over the next few months!
Thank you for your support and kind thoughts, and have a wonderful weekend!
